The home opener for the Sigourney volleyball team resulted in a rivalry win on Tuesday when the Savages took down Pekin in four sets. 

Sigourney came out on top in the non-conference clash with set scores of 25-20, 25-13, 23-25, and 25-15. The offense had a balanced night with Reagan Clarahan recording seven kills while Macy Fisch and Josephine Moore had six. Brookelyn Hemsley set a lot of it up with 20 assists, Zoe Webb had 18 digs, and Amiya Smallwood was successful on 13 of 14 serves with seven aces. 

Sigourney moves to 3-1 and they are off until September 12th when they battle Keota.
