The Midwest Old Thresher’s Reunion kicked off Wednesday in Mt. Pleasant with the Harvest Day Parade and Don Carlson Memorial Horse Pull. Last night’s entertainment was the Country Gold Tour featuring Leroy Van Dyke, Malpass Brothers and Jimmy Fortune. Scheduled entertainment tonight through Sunday includes; The Bellamy Brothers, Maddie & Tae and Russell Dickerson.
Attendees can find on display now through Sunday, a hundred steam engines, a thousand plus tractors, hundreds of antique cars and trucks, four to five hundred gas engines and over eighty horses.
In addition to all of the sights and sounds mentioned, Public Relations and Marketing Director for Midwest Old Threshers Reunion Grant Davison adds, “There is plenty of activities and demonstrations throughout our whole grounds to see.”
