The Washington County Jail reported to the Johnson County Jail that they were housing an inmate who was wanted out of Iowa City. Thirty-nine-year-old Lacy Erin Debrower of Altoona was arrested in July in Washington County for possession of a controlled substance 3rd or subsequent offense, OWI 3rd or subsequent, driving while barred, assault on a peace officer, interference with official acts, possession of drug paraphernalia, 5th-degree criminal mischief, operating a non-registered vehicle, and an open container violation.

The additional charges against Debrower are possession of a controlled substance, 3rd or subsequent offense, assault on a peace officer, assault on a peace officer causing bodily injury, interference with official acts causing bodily injury, and driving while barred. Both assault on a peace officer causing bodily injury and possession of a controlled substance 3rd or subsequent offense are Class D Felonies carrying a possible sentence of five years and a possible fine of $7,500.

Debrower’s pre-trail release has been revoked, she has been issued a $5,000 cash-only bond, and the Johnson County Jail has filed an extradition request. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
