The Lone Tree football team collected their first win of the season Friday, topping English Valleys 49-24. The Lions were in control from the start, leading the Bears 7-0 after one, up 28-8 at half, and pushed the lead to 42-8 going to the fourth. Ethan Bockelman had three scoring runs for Lone Tree, his longest, a 55-yarder. He also threw for a score. Maddox Jondle added an 11 yard touchdown run and Joseph Boxwell had a defensive touchdown with a three yard scoop and score. The Lions outgained the Bears in total 373 to 276 including 341 to 220 on the ground. Lone Tree is now 1-1 on the season with a trip to HLV Friday, the Bears are 0-2 and host top five WACO.
