The Keota Community Club is in fundraising mode in anticipation of the City’s 150th birthday. The Sesquicentennial Celebration will be part of Keota Days next June.
Coming up this Saturday will be a Poker Run to raise funds for the event.  President of the Keota Community Club Lori Hammes shares some details about this weekend’s event, “We’re encouraging bikes, trikes, cars and trucks. Sign-up will start at 10 a.m. at Lagos Acres Country Club in Keota. We have stops in Riverside, Washington, Libertyville, Richland and then back to Keota to see who had the best hands and maybe we’ll even pay out for the lowest hand and raise some money for our big event.”
In addition to the Poker Run this weekend, the following weekend September 16-17th, there will be city wide garage sales. Maps will be available at County Line Mart and Fiddle Dee Dee in Keota by Thursday September 15th.  A printable version of the map will soon be available on the Keota Community Club Facebook page.
