It was another heartbreaking five set loss for the Washington volleyball team on Tuesday when they welcomed Keokuk for a Southeast Conference showdown that went right down to the final point.

The orange and black got out to the start they wanted taking the first set 25-14, only to have the Chiefs (5-6, 2-0) answer back with the next two by scores of 25-20 and 25-18. Washington forced a game five after a 25-21 triumph in the fourth, but the Chiefs had the final say with a 15-13 fifth set victory. Keokuk collected 11 aces on Washington and the Chiefs’ top hitter was Anna Hinton with seven kills.

The Demons are now 4-11 overall, 1-1 in the SEC, and they are next in action Tuesday against Mount Pleasant.
