A short drive to Wapello was in store for the Highland volleyball team on Tuesday and the Huskies lost in four sets in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference showdown.
The Arrows (8-11, 2-0) took the league matchup with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 25-20, and 25-23. Highland had a hard time stopping Emily Hemphill with the junior tallying 24 kills and Quinn Veach had 17. Sarah Burton collected 14 kills for the Huskies, Grace Prybil had 19 assists, Madison Beeson registered 21 digs, and the team was successful on 94% of their serves with seven aces.
Highland drops to 3-3 overall, 1-1 in conference, and they host Winfield-Mt. Union (8-4, 1-0) tonight.
