The Columbus Community volleyball team competed in the Williamsburg tournament over the weekend where they fell in a pair of matches.
The Wildcats lost to Central Lee in straight sets of 21-8 and 21-15. The Hawks’ Makayla Morrison managed eight kills while Kenna Sandoval collected 14 assists. Columbus then had a hard time against West Burlington falling by scores of 21-7 and 21-6. Sophia Armstrong had nine kills for the Falcons and Abbey Bence managed 21 assists.
Columbus is now 1-9 overall, 0-2 in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference, and they host Highland tonight. The Huskies sit at 3-4, 1-2 in the league, and they swept both regular season meetings in 2021.
