The Mid-Prairie Community School district held its Board of Education meeting Monday.
Several items were on the agenda including a field trip to tour; Middle School, East Elementary School and the HomeSchool Education Center.
Superintendent of the Mid-Prairie Community School District Brian Stone shares, “The one big takeaway was the passion that the custodians display in their buildings. It’s just absolutely amazing in the fact that as summer takes place, as we had more things take place this summer than probably normal, the building custodians would continue to remind me that we would be ready for school and sure enough we were and as you walk in, the floors are shining to the point of, I would double-check to make sure that they weren’t wet. For the Board members to have that opportunity not only to see it, but then also the opportunity to interact with the staff that display such passion for that, it was a great evening.”
The on-site tours were conducted by; Lead Custodians Gary Dawson, Michael TeBockhorst and Mark Kleese.
