WACO Warriors football looks to continue a perfect season and a reputation as one of Iowa’s best 8-man teams when they travel to Iowa Valley Friday night. The 4-0 and second-ranked Warriors are averaging 52 points per game. Running back Simeon Reichenbach has been the main engine of that explosive offense. The senior has rushed for just under nine yards per carry and scored 8 rushing touchdowns. Reichenbach has also turned three of his four receptions into scores.

The latest WACO victory showed just how far they’re coming on defense. A shutout win against English Valleys means the Warriors have allowed no more than 22 points in each of their games. Senior Drew Diers is the leading tackler with 37 stops so far, but junior Colton Leichty has also wreaked havoc on opposing offenses with 25 total tackles, six tackles for loss, and two sacks.

WACO will look to defeat 3-1 Iowa Valley for the third straight meeting. Tigers quarterback Evan Kearney has been fantastic, piling up a whopping 30 total TDs in 4 games and helping his offense score better than 61 points per game. But, despite back-to-back wins, Iowa Valley has lived on the edge, with three of their games decided by 16 points or less. The WACO Warriors look to tame the Tigers again starting at 7 Friday evening.
