Friday, September 23 is Homecoming Friday at WACO Schools. From 5-7pm there will be a fish fry at the Wayland Fire Station to raise funds for a new child care center in Wayland.
Cost of the meal is a freewill donation. The menu includes; fish filet, baked beans, coleslaw, dessert and bottled water.
Funds raised will go toward furnishing equipment and supplies for start-up of the child care center, Little Me & Company.
Wayland Area Child Care Organization Board Member Lindi Jepson shares when the center will be open for business, “We are hoping to be up and running sometime in the beginning of 2023, and we’ll be able to hold up to 49 kids at this point, so we’re pretty excited about that to bring that many spots to the local area.”
Little Me & Company will be located on Main Street in Wayland next to the post office.
