The Washington Public Library is set to host its first Teen Advisory Board meeting of the year on Monday, September 26th, at 4:00 pm. The meeting will be open to all students from grades 6th and up, with applications for the meeting available at the library. The meeting will serve as a way to brainstorm and plan library activities, suggest new books and movies, and earn silver cord hours.
Cary Ann Siegfried, the Director of Washington Public Library, talked with KCII and provided some more information about the importance of this group. “This was something that kind of got put by the wayside during COVID because we couldn’t get everyone together, but now we’re trying to get it up and going. Library services to teenagers are very important to us, and they are at that age where they might have some very creative ideas on how we can best serve them.
