The City of Keota is compiling a list of names to add to the Veterans Memorial Monument. Located at 605 West Broadway, the Monument was dedicated in June 2016 and includes the names of almost 2,000 veterans. The City is hoping to expand on that number.

For an individual to be eligible, they must have served in any branch of the military, including the reserves and National Guard during war or peacetime. Eligible participants must also meet one of the following criteria: A member of the Keota VFW, someone who has lived in Keota, Harper, or Clear Creek, someone who has attended school in Keota or Harper, or they must be buried in a Keota, Harper, or Clear Creek area Cemetery.
