The Hillcrest Academy Raven cross country team competes again tonight when they travel to the University of Iowa Ashton Cross Country Course in Iowa City for the City High meet. Hillcrest last ran at the Tony Proctor Invitational a week ago in Burlington. The Ravens were led by Micah Gerber in 16th place. Other boys competitors included Jesse Blossom 26th and Jeremiah Danker 39th. Delaney Shaw was 27th for the Hillcrest girls.
Joining the Ravens in Iowa City are the Ankeny Centennial boys and their No. 4 in Class 4A girls, the No. 13 in Class 3A Clear Creek Amana boys and their No. 16 girls, the No. 5 in Class 1A Danville boys and their No. 20 girls, the Dubuque Senior boys and their No. 5 in Class 4A girls, Durant, Liberty, Cedar Rapids Jefferson, Ottumwa, the Pekin boys and their No. 5 in Class 1A girls, the No. 13 in Class 4A Pleasant Valley boys and their No. 2 ranked girls, the No. 16 in Class 4A Cedar Rapids Prairie boys and their No. 20 girls, and the home No. 5 in Class 4A Little Hawk boys and their No. 9 girls. There are 19 total ranked runners scheduled to compete. Action starts tonight at 4:15p.m. And continues into the evening in Iowa City.
