Warm-Up Washington is a cooperative partnership between the Washington YMCA, the Washington Public Library, and Farm Bureau Financial Insurance Services, The Ann C. Williams Agency, to help gather winter clothing for needy families.

Library Director Cary Ann Siegfried talked with KCII Radio about this partnership to help families in need during the winter. “We all get together and collect winter wear for kids, and then we allow the families to come in and pick up the winter wear at the library at the end of the month. So, we’re really excited to get back and start doing this again.”

People looking to donate new, or very gently used coats, jackets, hats, gloves, scarves, or any other type of winter wear can use one of the drop boxes at the YMCA, Library, or Farm Bureau Financial. Donations will be accepted until Wednesday, October 19th, and donations can be dropped off during normal business hours for each location. Distribution will be from October 25th through October 29th on the library’s lower level.
