The Columbus Community Wildcats continued their best stretch of volleyball this season by knocking off Louisa-Muscatine at home Tuesday night in straight sets. Columbus had to work to keep L&M at bay, winning 25-18 and 25-23 in the first two sets before pulling away to take the third set 25-15.

Outside hitter Victoria Howell continued to change the way the Wildcats play since returning from injury. The senior finished with team highs of eight kills and four aces. Freshman middle blocker Daniela Diaz also made an impact with four kills and three blocks. Senior setter Sara Vela piled up three kills, 20 assists, a block and an ace, while sophomore Aracely Garza finished with five kills and three aces.

Columbus Community wins back-to-back matches for the first time this season. The Wildcats move to 5-18 ahead of facing WACO tonight.
