Relay for Life and the Washington Chamber of Commerce are partnering up for this year’s Hocus Pocus in the Park in Washington. Washington Central Park will host events from 1:00 pm until dusk, with the night being capped off with a special Movies on Main showing of Hotel Transylvania.

Alisha Davis, the Event Coordinator for the Chamber of Commerce, spoke with KCII about some of the support they are getting for this year’s event. “We are planning on doing everything from last year, but this year we have partnered with Relay for Life, and they’ll be doing a bags tournament. We also have food trucks coming in for the first time, and we plan on having more businesses coming in to set up more games for kids and families.”

Relay for Life will be sponsoring several events this year, including the bags tournament, pumpkin decorating, and a pumpkin rolling contest. Relay for Life, from 1:00-3:00 pm, will be recognizing cancer survivors from around the area, and at 3:00 pm, there will be a dessert auction. The KCII Big Red Radio will also be live for the entirety of the event.

People that plan on attending are encouraged to bring a jacket and a blanket in the event of cold weather.
