When the No. 11 in Class 3A Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team arrived in Iowa City Thursday, the Regina Regal Senior Night party was over. The Golden Hawks swept through their rivals on the road in straight sets, 25-19, 25-22 and 25-13. The Hawks were led in the match by freshman Jovi Evans with 22 assists, 16 digs and 10 kills. Sophomore Dakota Mitchell had 20 digs, senior Landry Pacha, this week’s reigning KCII JET Physical Therapy Athlete of the Week posted 19 assists, 14 kills and 10 digs. The win is Mid-Prairie’s sixth consecutive, their 10th in their last 11 matches and moves them to 5-1 in the River Valley Conference and 17-6 overall. The Hawks are in action Saturday at Clear Creek Amana.
