The Wellman-Scofield Public Library is now providing free costume rentals if you need one for Halloween.

Started four years ago, the Wellman-Scofield Public Library offers over 100 costumes, donated or purchased, to community members for check out. The costumes range in sizes from infant to adult.

To borrow a costume, go to the library at any time it is open. There will be multiple racks of Halloween costumes with size labels near the front door. You can try on the costumes. Then simply bring the costume up to the front desk, where someone will assist you in checking it out. All you have to do is show them your library card or ID with some sort of mail to confirm your mailing address.

Costumes must be returned after Halloween.
