ChoctoberFest in Washington is tomorrow, as the Washington Chamber of Commerce, Elliot Realty Group, and Washington County Hospitals and Clinics are partnering up with local businesses for what could be the biggest ChoctoberFest yet. Twenty-two businesses in Washington are participating in this year’s celebration, where guests can enjoy chocolate and the Washington scenery, all while supporting local businesses and raising money for breast cancer awareness.
Alisha Davis, the Event Coordinator for the Washington Chamber of Commerce, talked with KCII about the event. “WCHC partners with us on this to support national breast cancer awareness month, and so we partner together to help raise funds for each other’s organizations. This event is all about getting people downtown and getting them to check out all the great things going on. This event has really taken off over the last four years; I predict that this event could be our largest event yet.”
Tickets are available for purchase, with VIPink Swag Bags being available for $30, which includes two drink tickets and hors d’oeuvres, and a ChoctoberFest chocolate pass. Regular ChoctoberFest passes are also available for $10, which includes a chocolate passport and a take-home goodie bag; all participants must be high school age and older.
