The Pleasantview Home, Kalona’s continuing care retirement center, will hold their fundraiser Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5. The Pleasantview Benefit aims to raise money for ActiveCare beds for skilled post-acute care residents.
The benefit will be held at Hillcrest Academy. Beginning Friday, November 4 at 4:30 p.m. a turkey tenderloin supper will be served until 7. A silent auction will be held during the supper until 6:30 p.m. at which point a live auction will be held. On Saturday, November 5, an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast will be served from 7-9:30 a.m. The live auction will resume at 8:30 a.m. and end around noon.
Items up for auction include homemade quilts, home-cooked meals, cheese, locally grown frozen meat, gift certificates, handcrafted items, and more. A bake sale will also take place Friday evening.
