Six Sigourney Savage volleyball players earned all-conference honors in the South Iowa Cedar League for their efforts this season. Senior setter Brookelyn Hemsley was the lone first-team selection after handing out 529 assists and hitting the floor for 236 digs. Hemsley crossed the 1,000-career-assist mark while helping the Savages win 23 matches and finishing tied for second in the SICL.
Sigourney’s top three leaders in kills made the second team. Junior Amiya Smallwood had team highs of 180 kills and 36 blocks, while senior Macy Fisch piled up 158 kills and 34 aces. Sophomore Josephine Moore was an elite back-row player, as she accounted for 49 aces and 372 digs to go with 137 kills.
Senior libero Reagan Power is on the second team after notching a team-high 380 digs. Senior Zoe Webb was another great defensive player, putting up 246 digs on her way to honorable mention all-conference. Sophomore Reagan Clarahan was also a honorable mention after finishing with 120 kills and 28 blocks.
