The Highland School Board met Monday, October 24, with a special meeting agenda to discuss snow removal bids. The board approved English River Concrete and Construction in Riverside for snow removal this winter.
“We have a snow removal company that did it for us last year, and they couldn’t do it this year” said Superintendent Ken Crawford. “I wanted to make sure we had that in place before November hit.”
In the work session, the board received updates from the football program and wrestling boosters. ISASP student test scores from last spring were reviewed to highlight areas of success and needs for improvement. District boundaries were looked at in regards to future elections, with plans for a resolution to be put out and voted on between November 15 and May 15.
The Highland School Board’s next meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 14 at 5 p.m. in the Highland Board Room.
