trivia-2

The Washington Public Library is hosting a Nothing but Iowa Trivia Night fundraising event for the Washington Public Library Foundation. The Washington Public Library Foundation is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to financial assistance, innovative leadership, and advocacy to enhance and support the services and programs of Washington Free Public Library.

Registration is still open for the event, with sixteen total slots still available for reservation. Teams for the trivia night will consist of four people, and the registration fee is $10, per person, with the payment being due at the door the day of the event.

Silent Auction items will also be displayed at the library and will be available for bidding until the trivia night on November 3rd. Karen Moenck, one of the event’s organizers, talked with KCII Radio about this newly formed event and some of the items that will be available at the silent auction.

“This is our first time, and perhaps the only time we do this, depending on how it goes. But we made this trivia night so that we could highlight the state of Iowa, so all the questions are going to be about the state of Iowa and its history. The silent auction items are all from Iowa, with some stores providing items to bid on while others have handcrafted their items.”

A link for registration can be found at the bottom of the article; for more questions about the upcoming trivia night, contact the Washington Public Library.
