Mid-Prairie performing arts students will present their fall musical “The Pirates of Penzance” this weekend at the high school. Show times are Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5 at 7 p.m. The matinee will be Sunday, November 6 at 2 p.m.
The musical follows Frederic, a pirate apprentice, who decides he no longer wants to live the pirate life. After meeting the love of his life, drama unfolds on the high seas. The performances feature plenty of laughs, great musical talent, and the directorial debut for Mid-Prairie’s Christine Meader. According to junior cast member Jack Greiner, “Pirates of Penzance embraces insanity. That is the biggest reason I think anybody should come.”
While tickets are running out, they are still available. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for K-12 students and can be purchased here.
