Along with a number of other area players, the Winfield-Mount Union Wolves led the way with six selections to the South East Iowa Super Conference All-North Division volleyball team. WMU went 24-10 overall and was perfect in conference play on their way to winning the Super Conference North championship again. Head coach David Pieart was named the league’s Coach of the Year.

One of the Wolves’ all-conference selections, senior libero Keetyn Townsley, split Super Conference North Player of the Year honors with WACO Warriors senior setter Grace Coble. Townsley led Winfield-Mount Union with 74 serving aces and 398 digs, while Coble proved to be an all-around force with 117 kills, 600 assists, 55 aces, 189 digs and 28 blocks.  Coble was joined by WMU’s Keely Malone as a first-team setter after the senior put 88 kills, 596 assists and 45 aces, while senior Ellah Kissell led the 27-win Warriors with 248 kills to make the first team. WACO senior Jocelyn Fulton was a first-team defensive specialist after putting up 365 digs.

Winfield-Mount Union’s top hitters made the first team. Senior outside Melina Oepping led the Wolves with 236 kills, while senior middle Bradie Buffington put up 200 kills and 51 blocks. Columbus Wildcats senior Isabella Lagunas was a first-team defensive specialist after piling up 223 digs, while Highland Huskies junior Sarah Burton also earned first-team honors after leading her team with 203 kills.

Area second-team selections in the Super Conference North include WMU juniors Audrie Gipple and Tessa Huston; WACO junior Emma Wagler; Columbus senior Victoria Howell; Highland senior MyLei Smith; Hillcrest Academy Ravens sophomore Malia Yoder; and Lone Tree Lions senior Riley Krueger.
