This month, Henry County Public Health will be administering COVID-19 vaccines on Thursdays. Walk-in appointments are available Thursday, November 3 and 17 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Thursday, November 10 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The office will be closed for the holidays on November 11, 24, and 25.
Area residents can receive a COVID-19 vaccine and/or flu shots on these dates. Anyone 5 years of age or older is eligible for the COVID vaccine, as long as it’s been at least 2 months from the last dose in the primary series, or the most recent booster. The new bivalent boosters protecting against the original strain and omicron variants are available as well.
Flu shots are also available during regular immunization clinic hours on Tuesdays from 9-11 a.m. and Wednesdays from 1-4 p.m. COVID vaccines are no cost, and flu shots are $40, unless billed to an insurance provider.
For homebound residents, a Public Health staff member is available by appointment and can travel to you to administer either vaccine. To set up an appointment, or with additional questions call 319-385-0779 or visit healthyhenrycounty.org/covid.
