The Winfield-Mount Union Wolves had six total football players earn all-district after going 6-4 overall and 4-3 in District 6. Four players were first team all-district.
Running back Abram Edwards is a first-team utility player on offense. Edwards led WMU with 392 yards and four touchdowns receiving. The junior also rushed for nine TDs and averaged six yards per run. Sophomore Cooper Buffington is on the first team offensive line, helping pave the way to over 2,900 rushing yards for the Wolves.
On defense, junior Cam Buffington is a first-team linebacker after leading Winfield-Mount Union with 95-and-a-half tackles and three interceptions. Junior Eli Miller also makes the first-team defense as a utility player after he put up 38.5 tackles, a pick and a fumble recovery.
Senior Kai Malone makes the second-team offensive line. He’s joined by junior quarterback Cole Milks, who earns second-team honors after throwing for 723 yards and 11 touchdowns and running for 421 yards and another seven scores.
