The Washington County 4-H Program will host its annual Awards Celebration on Sunday, November 6th, at the KC Hall in Washington at 3:00 pm. All Washington County 4-H’ers, family members, club leaders, and other 4-H volunteers are invited and encouraged to attend. The evening will include installing the 2022-2023 County Council members, recognizing adult volunteers and businesses, record book awards, CBI Bank 4-H Participation Awards, and other special honors.
Amy Green, the 4-H and Youth Coordinator for Washington County, talked with KCII Radio about one of the special awards that will be presented at the ceremony. “We traditionally hand out the William Danforth I Dare You Award, which will recognize two of our top individuals. I get a little emotional because we get so excited, and we’re proud of those kids for applying, succeeding, and being so good in the community. So we’re really excited to be able to get those kids up on stage and give a little spiel about all the things they do.”
There is no cost to attend the event; contact the Washington County Extension Office for more information about the 4-H Awards Celebration.
