The Fareway in Washington was announced as the top fundraiser in the company for this year’s Iowa Wave Shirt pin-up program, raising approximately $7,300 for the  University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. During the campaign, which ran for two weeks ahead of the Iowa vs. Iowa State football game, Fareway’s customers could purchase an Iowa Wave Shirt pin-up for $1.

Washington Fareway employees presented a check to the Iowa Wave Shirt Founders yesterday, officially bringing an end to a fundraising effort that saw a total of $48,000 raised for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
