Clocks will move back an hour today as Daylight Saving Time for 2022 comes to an end. Each year it runs from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November. At 2 am, Sunday clocks will move back an hour, providing an extra hour on November 6th.
Daylight Saving Time was introduced in 1918 as part of the Standard Time Act to save resources needed for the war and extend the working day. It has been repealed and reinstated several times and didn’t officially become law until 1966 under the Uniform Time Act.
