Despite not getting a win in eight games, the Highland Huskies still had some of the top football players in the area, and five of them were recognized for their efforts with all-district honors in Class A District 5. Leading the way was first-team quarterback Sage Hartley-Norman. The sophomore led Highland with 550 yards and six touchdowns passing and another 490 yards and four TDs rushing.

Peyton Yeggy made the second team as a utility player. On offense, the senior had five pass receptions for 83 yards and a score and also had two rushing touchdowns. Yeggy made 11 tackles on defense, including two tackles for loss and a sack.

Senior wide receiver Ethan Paisley was the Huskies’ leading receiver with 16 catches for 299 yards and four TDs and was an honorable mention. Senior offensive lineman Ethan Simpson was also an honorable mention after helping Highland rush for over 1,000 yards this season. Sophomore Logan McFarland rounds out the Huskies’ all-district selections as an honorable-mention utility player.
