Some of the area’s best high school players took advantage of one last chance to hit the court in their school colors by playing in the 29th annual Southeast Iowa Volleyball Classic Saturday in Mediapolis. The teams were comprised of seniors nominated and voted for by coaches from the Southeast Conference and the South East Iowa Super Conference. WACO Warriors seniors Ellah Kissell and Grace Coble teamed up with Keely Malone and Melina Oepping of the Winfield-Mount Union Wolves to help Team Black get the victory. WMU’s Keetyn Townsley and Bradie Buffington played for Team Pink, and WACO’s Jay Coble was one of the coaches for Team Black. Team Black defeated Team Pink in four sets, taking the opening two sets 25-15 and 25-21 before bouncing back from dropping the third set 25-15 to win the match 28-26.
