As we reach the midway point of November, thoughts around the southeast Iowa sports landscape are beginning to turn indoors toward the winter season. The Hillcrest Academy boys basketball program has finalized their plans for the Hillcrest Jamboree, one of the unofficial kick-off events to the season. Monday, November 21st at historic Hillcrest Union, eight teams will take the floor in quadruple header scrimmage action to meet a live opponent for the first time in 2022. At 6p.m., BGM will match up with Holy Trinity to start festivities, game two sees Clear Creek Amana face head coach Paul Kissell and the WACO Warriors, the third contest of the night pits Montezuma against Iowa City Regina and the night cap features Hillcrest Academy against New London.
Games will be one half in length and do not count on the team’s record. Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for students. For more information visit hillcrestravens.org.
