The Keota Eagles are looking to make some strides in girls’ basketball this season. Keota went 6-15 last season, with all six wins coming in conference play. The Eagles will need to replace leading scorer Taylor Kindred after she graduated. But sophomore Kimberly Clarahan is poised to break out after averaging almost seven points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals per game in her debut season. Senior Macie McDonald will also be a featured player and look to improve on her seven points, three-and-a-half rebounds and two assists a game from last season. Keota will be looking for more offense in total after averaging less than 32 points per contest last season. The Eagles begin a new year of hoops by playing Highland tomorrow night and Lone Tree Saturday evening at Iowa Valley.
