At the latest Washington County Conservation Board Meeting, the board discussed the new revamp to the Marr Park Naturescape Play Area.

The play area is located close to the nature center. Previously, the area included various types of playground equipment, but members of the board approached maintenance and naturalist staff to help reinvent and reinvest in the play area.

After construction, the Naturescape Play Area provides new fun for any child. It now includes a small log cabin and tipi for kids to interact with. A new balancing beam, boulders to climb on, and tubes are also  in the play area.

The fun will not stop there, as Zach Rozmus, Executive Director of Washington County Conservation , told KCII news. “I think we’re not done yet; so we’re going to continue to add different components to [the playground].”

The WCCB invites any child in the KCII listening area to come down and enjoy the new play area additions.
