The Louisa County Conservation Board (LCCB) is looking to fill a position that will open when current member Elizabeth Kling’s term ends on December 31. Due to state law requiring balanced boards according to gender, they are seeking a female candidate to join the LCCB, beginning in 2023.

The position holds a five-year term, and includes attendance at monthly meetings. Basic responsibilities include working within the board to set policy regarding the activities and affairs of the conservation department. Board members must be at least 18 years of age and residents of Louisa County.

Applications for the position must be submitted by noon on December 6 to the Louisa County Auditor. Their office is located in the Courthouse at 117 Main Street in Wapello. For more information on the opening, or to fill out an application, click here.
