Wellman is connecting local children to Santa Claus.

A Christmas-themed mailbox is waiting for children’s letters to Santa in Wellman’s Mini Park on 8th Avenue. Simply place the letter in the mailbox from now until Christmas to ensure that Santa sees it. Santa will even send something back if a forwarding address is left on the letter.

After remembering past Christmas celebrations in the community, the city of Wellman and the community club came up with the idea, wanting to bring the joy of previous generations to the current generation. The city and community both hope that this will be a family-friendly event that brings everyone together.

Santa will also be at the Mini Park in Wellman on Saturday, December 10th from 3:00-5:00pm. Children will be able to sit and talk with him there as well.
