WACO Warrior wrestling took one out of three wrestling duals last night in Mediapolis. Despite falling to the host Mediapolis Bulldogs 54-24, WACO defeated Pekin 46-24 and earned a 42-42 tie with Louisa-Muscatine.

The night was largely a showcase for Louden Huisenga. The Warrior sophomore kept his strong start to the season going by winning all three of his bouts at 170 pounds. Huisenga pinned his first two opponents before picking up a 14-4 major decision over Pekin’s Gavyn Brown. The only other head-to-head victory for WACO came from senior Junior Quiroz, who got a pin at 138 lbs. The Warriors will be back on the mat tomorrow at Tri-County.
