In November, Winfield-Mount Union Elementary School received iPads to enhance student learning and improve digital literacy within the building.

The technology was paid for through the Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF). ECF was originally created in 2021 to provide schools and libraries access to remote learning during the pandemic. With enough iPads for each student in the building, WMU is still finding new and engaging ways to foster student growth.

Using a number of educational programs such as Google Classroom, students at WMU Elementary are able to build essential technology skills. Most recently, a third grade classroom used their devices to complete reading assessments through Google Forms. According to the school, these iPads will continue to empower students, advance their knowledge of technology, and prepare them for the modern world.
