The Paws and More Animal Shelter in Washington attended the Washington City Council meeting Tuesday. They had an extensive presentation about their organization and what they have achieved over the last year. Their biggest goal for the future is to construct a new building. The Paws and More Board President, Dr. Ann Valentine, speaks about the need that the community has and how many animals they have saved over the last year. “We’ve grown as an organization from serving about 400 animals a year to last year nearly 1000. And the need is even greater than what we can provide for at this point.” The Paws and More Animal shelter are hoping to go into the new year with a plan for a new building and having that building focus on safety, durability and efficiency for the Washington Community and the surrounding area.
