The Highland Huskies proved this fall that their student-athletes excel in the classroom just as much as they do on the playing field. 40 Highland athletes received fall academic all-conference honors from the Southeast Iowa Super Conference in 2022. Athletes received all-academic status for having a 3.5 grade-point average or better.

Highland volleyball was represented by Adelynn Kloepfer, Jessica Kraus, Avery Pierson, MyLei Smith, Sarah Burton, Kelsi Cerny, Courtney Chalupa, Lorelei Lueck, Grace Prybil, Haley Sands, Lilly Barre, Adeline Krotz and Laney Skelton, among others. The Huskies also had three boys’ and three girls’ cross country runners from their varsity teams make academic all-conference in Brendan Schnoeblen, Chase Hickenbottom, Brayden Zywiec, Katelyn Waters, Halle Hazelett and Siena Stanerson.

Other Highland athletes to receive all-academic honors include Madeline Beeson, Payton Burn, Andrew Lana, Kerra Longbine, Allynana Pokorny, Shauna Sublette, Graci Boyd, Mya Castro, Adyson Gerot, Danika Kraus, Emma Cole, Mackenzie Davis, Cassidy Duster, Sandra Edwards, Brena Hazelett, Emily Herrig, Katelyn Munn, Hailey Plank, Adisyn Prottsman, Kealy Roberts and Emersyn Schultz.
