The Columbus Wildcats had some terrific student-athletes represent the school this fall both in competition and learning. Columbus ended up with 26 total all-academic choices from this past fall in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference.

Wildcat varsity volleyball led the way with eight selections, including Lily Coil, Isabel Rendon, Miriam Ruvalcaba, Kennedy Woepking, Victoria Howell, Daniela Diaz, Jocelyn Hernandez and Sara Vela. Columbus boys’ cross country was represented by state qualifier Damian Vergara, as well as Oscar Alcala, Tim Hills-Carrier and Alexander Rees. Ariana Vergara was the lone varsity girls’ runner to earn academic all-conference.

Other all-academic Wildcats include Kinlee Brown, Tyler Humiston, Kira Sanders, Ryan Coil, Madeleine Howell, Maribel Montiel, Jokolby Sipes, Hailey Wellington, Frannie Sosa, Averi Sipes and Emma and Claire Humphreys.
