Washington Demons wrestler Teegan Sulentich continued her dominant season last Monday by taking second place at 155 pounds at the Iowa City-Liberty Girls’ Invitational. Sulentich pinned her first three opponents before losing just her second bout of the season. The senior was pinned in the finals, dropping her record to 13-2.

Washington also got a seventh-place finish from junior Jillian Langstraat at 110 lbs. After getting pinned in the opening round, Langstraat dropped her next opponent. Despite losing a close 1-0 sudden victory in the consolation semifinals, Langstraat bounced back and won the seventh-place bout with a pin. Washington girls’ wrestling next hits the mat January 7th at Anamosa.
