One of the Washington Demons’ anchors at the line of scrimmage will be continuing his football career at the next level. Senior offensive lineman Brayden Hartman officially signed his letter of intent to play at Western Illinois last Wednesday. Hartman tells KCII Sports that he’s excited to be part of the Leathernecks.

“They have a great family,” Hartman says. “It’s not too far from home. It’s really cool to think about. It’s definitely been a dream of mine for a long time, so it’s great to see all the hard work paying off.”

And Hartman says his time at Washington has given him all the tools he needs to succeed in college football, both on and off the field.

“I think leadership and the family aspect is definitely huge,” he says. “Being able to go up to a new community and make friends with all those guys is a huge part of [playing college sports]. And then just working hard, keeping my head down and keep on grinding.”

Hartman helped pave the way for over 215 rushing yards per game as the Demons bounced back from a slow start and won their final three games of the 2022 season.
