The Washington High School Business Professionals of America chapter is striving to achieve its tagline: “Today’s students. Tomorrow’s business professionals.” Members are preparing to attend and compete at the BPA State Leadership Conference in Des Moines, February 19th -21st. As one of the largest BPA chapters in Iowa, Washington often takes a large portion of their members to conferences. They were honored at the United Fall Leadership Conference with the Substantial Chapter Award for bringing the highest percentage of their members to the conference. For their competitive events, members have the option of choosing from over 90 different events. Washington’s BPA members have already been selecting and preparing for their competitive events with the goal of being selected to represent Iowa at the BPA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California, in April. Washington’s BPA advisor is Shelly Duwa.
