Sigourney-Keota wrestling continued to show how deep their roster is by taking a trio of duals last night. Thanks to eight different wrestlers winning, SK defeated Moravia 42-33; beat Belle Plaine 45-36; and knocked off HLV 72-3.
The night was one of the best of the season for sophomore Ashton Schwab, who pinned all three of his opponents at 160 pounds. Senior Dan Mclaughlin won a 10-6 decision and picked up a pin at 132 lbs, while seniors Austin Gorsh and DJ Hammes earned a pair of pins at 120 and 145, respectively, as did sophomore Dawson Meyer at 138. Other Sigourney-Keota wrestlers to get a pin to win were sophomore Reanah Utterback at 106; senior Jack Clarahan at 170; and freshman Owen Menke at 195. SK will next head to North Tama tomorrow for the Redhawk Invitational.
