On Thursday and Friday, eight individuals were arrested and charged in connection to an October shooting in Tiffin.

On October 24 of last year, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of multiple gunshots fired in the area of Highway 6 and Park Road roundabout in Tiffin. Further investigation revealed that multiple suspects had planned to meet and travel to a residence in Coralville to commit an assault. When the individuals at the residence left, they were followed by the suspects to the roundabout. Multiple shots were fired at and into the victim’s vehicle, however none of the vehicle occupants were hit by the gunfire.

The suspects arrested this week include a 17-year-old male juvenile, who has been charged with attempted murder, a class B felony, and riot, a class D felony. Twenty-two-year-old, Glenda Reighard of Tiffin has been charged with riot, a class D felony, false information in acquiring a weapon, also a class D felony, and transfer of a pistol or revolver to a person under 21, a serious misdemeanor.

Six other individuals have been arrested and charged with riot, including 20-year old Jamyrion White, 18-year-old Aydin Kutcher, 19-year-old David Love Jr., 19-year old Isaiah Scott, and 21-year-old Dquavious Kelly, all from Coralville, along with 19-year old Mike Rensing, of North Liberty. Additional arrests are expected with other suspects.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Coralville Police Department, Johnson County Drug Task, Joint Forensic Analysis Cyber Team, North Liberty Police Department, and Johnson County Attorney’s Office.
