On Saturday, January 28, the Louisa County 4-H Foundation will hold their Soup Supper and Dessert Auction at the Louisa County Fairgrounds Youth Center in Columbus Junction. The annual fundraiser for the program starts at 5 p.m. with the dessert auction set to begin at 6 p.m.
The supper is offered for a free-will donation, and includes chili, Wisconsin cheese soup, and potato soup, along with vegetable trays and drinks. Desserts auctioned off will be homemade by families within Louisa County 4-H.
Board Member for the Louisa County 4-H Foundation, Todd Salazar, looks forward to continuing the success of the fundraiser, and encourages all to attend. “I just hope we can get some people to come out and support [the] Louisa County 4-H Foundation so we can continue helping these 4-H kids,” he said.
Funds received from the event benefit the foundation in a number of ways, including scholarships for graduating seniors in the 4-H program. In addition, donations help pay enrollment fees for members so the organization can continue to grow.
