A pair of Southeast Iowa Super Conference teams picked up a pair of winners at the Louisa-Muscatine Invitational. The WACO Warriors finished seventh as a team Saturday, with seven of their eight wrestlers earning a medal. Junior Johnathan Heather led the way for WACO by winning the tournament championship at 285 lbs. Heather pinned Burlington freshman Caden Huff in the final to bring home the title.

Warriors sophomore Louden Huisenga took third at 160 lbs, bouncing back from a quarterfinal loss on a 6-5 decision. WACO also got fourth-place medals from junior John Mclaughlin at 120 and senior Drew Diers at 220, while junior Brian Neal was fifth at 182. Seventh-place finishes from freshman Trey Edeker at 145 and senior Tigran Bayatyan at 152 rounded out the scoring for the Warriors.

The Highland Huskies were led by senior Carlos Valenzuela winning another tournament title at 132 lbs, picking up a pin in all three of his bouts. Junior Remington Fields was the runner-up at 145, pinning his first two opponents before getting pinned in the final. Highland freshman Brock Thomann was fourth at 126, while sophomore Landon Bell ended up seventh at 106. The Huskies also got sixth-place finishes from junior Jack Peiffer at 138 and sophomore Isaac Kleese at 182.
